Two-vehicle bypass crash injures one driver

On Monday, August 20, a 2-vehicle collision occurred on the bypass and Highway 56 South. The crash involving a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu and a 2014 Ford Escape occurred during a heavy rainstorm. The driver of the Malibu was not injured; however, the driver of the Escape was transported to Emanuel Medical Center by EMS. Responding to the scene were units from the Swainsboro fire and police departments, Emanuel County EMS, Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office, and the Georgia State Patrol, who investigated the crash.
