  Funeral services for Tony Wayne Purvis, 53, of Swainsboro will be held Thursday, August 30,0 2018, at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Brad McKenzie officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 30, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home. He passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

   Mr. Tony Wayne Purvis was born June 26, 1965, in Milledgeville to Billy Purvis and the late Faye Sconyers Purvis. He was a resident of Emanuel County who loved racing, fishing, and his family. Racing was his life. He referred to everybody as “girlfriend” or “brother-in-law,” and was preceded in death by his mother.

   Survivors include his father, Billy Purvis; daughter, Mallory (Eric) Weber; son, T.J. Purvis; brothers, Larry (Doris) Purvis of Wadley, Gary Purvis, and Charles Purvis; granddaughters, Mylee Weber and Bristol Weber; and a host of several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.

   Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro is in charge of arrangements.
