SHS softball picks up two region wins

   The Swainsboro softball Tigers continue to impress early, improving to 5-2 on the season and 2-1 in the region, beating Toombs County and St. Vincent’s last week.

   The two region wins were big, 17-4 against Toombs County and 10-0 against St. Vincent’s.

   “Offensively, I think we are playing well,” said head coach Rusty Brown. “We are getting on base and so far we have been able to get the big hit when we needed it.”

   Swainsboro is currently hitting .313 as a team with 18 doubles, 1 triple, 1 HR, and 75 runs through seven games.
