Funeral services for Nona Jo Spivey Roberts, 64, of Swainsboro were held on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with President Ryan Sconyers and Brother John Smoyer Jr. presiding. Interment followed in the Swainsboro City Cemetery. She passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018, at University Hospital following an extended illness.
Mrs. Nona Jo Spivey Roberts was born July 2, 1954, in Dublin to James Andrew Spivey and Winona Became Spivey. She retired from Husqvarna after more than 40 years of employment. Roberts was a homemaker, youth Sunday school teacher, and enjoyed reading. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Later Day Saints for 27 years. Roberts was preceded in death by her mother.
Survivors include her husband, Seaborn Roberts; father, James (Betty) Andrew Spivey of East Dublin; sons, Drew (Barbara Jean) Roberts of Grovetown, Matthew Roberts, and James (Bridgette) Roberts; brothers, Sonny (Leigh Ann) Spivey of East Dublin and Owen (Shela) Spivey of Rockledge; sister, Sue (Joe) Ansley of Huntsville, Alabama.; grandchildren, Abigayle Roberts, Journey Roberts, Sophie Roberts, Brodie Roberts, Joshua Roberts, Rachel Roberts, and River Roberts; and a host of several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Pallbearers were Jeff Farmer, Mars Daughtry, Danny Ely, Joey Scruggs, William Ansley, and Danny Wayne Faircloth.
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of the arrangements.
