Mildred Elizabeth Brown, 77

   Funeral services for Mildred Brown, 77, of Swainsboro was held Friday, August 3, 2018, at 1 p.m. at William Chapel Holiness Church with Apostle Nathan Clark presiding. Interment followed in Kirkland Cemetery. She died Saturday, July 28, 2018.

   Mrs. Mildred Elizabeth Brown was born on May 10, 1941, to the late Buster Gunn and the late Queen Gunn and was married to Leroy Brown for 59 years. Brown attend Summertown Elementary School. She was a member of Forts Grove Baptist Church and fellowshipped at New Beginnings of Christ, where he daughter, Mildred Phillips, is pastor. Brown was a homemaker. She loved to cook, read, and fish. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Oliver Gunn, William Gunn, and Willie Hudson; two sisters, Lizzie Mae Barney and Alberta Addison; and one son, Roylee Brown.

   Survivors include her husnband, daughters, Sharon Charite of Miami, Florida, and Mildred Phillips; three sons, Dennis Brown of Columbus, James P. Brown, and Charles Brown; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

   Pallbearers were Jason Brown, Christ Carswell, Demetrius Jones, Jerry Armstrong, Phillip Carswell, and Jesse Jones.

   Mosley’s Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
