Hatcher celebrates turning 10 mermaid style

   On Saturday, July 21, Halle Jade Hatcher celebrated her 10th birthday at her parents’ residence in Canoochee.

   The celebration was decorated in the theme of a mermaid party. Tables were draped in purple and blue tablecloths, each decorated with sea shells found on beach trips Halle took with her family and blue and purple streamers with assorted balloon bouquets in the middle. The cake table was covered with a shimmery blue tablecloth with ceramic mermaids and real shells used as decorations. Behind the table was a blue and purple fringed hanging curtain with a gold “10.” On each side of the curtain were mermaid plaques. Guests were seated amongst blue and purple fringed curtains with assorted balloon bouquets on each side. Gifts were placed on a table bearing fringed blue and purled curtains behind it and covered with shimmery blue tablecloth with each side having a mermaid plaque.

   Guests devoured grilled chicken leg quarter meals served with homemade potato salad and pasta salad, baked beans, sweet rolls, and sweet tea. Ice cream was also served with the option of two cake choices.
