Farm Bureau seeking input on farm issues

Policy development is one of the most important functions of Emanuel County Farm Bureau. Farmers are encouraged to give input on local, state, national, and international issues. Suggestions from the grassroots level help formulate recommendations that will be the guideline for Georgia Farm Bureau’s legislative activity in the coming year.

“Many of our current laws dealing with agriculture started out as county recommendations that were supported by Georgia Farm Bureau. You have a unique opportunity to let your voice be heard in this procedure,” said Bill Carmichael, policy development chairman. “There are many issues facing not only farmers but property owners in general.”

If you have a particular issue you would like to see addressed by this committee, send recommendations to Emanuel County Farm Bureau at P.O. Box 450, Swainsboro, GA 30401 or call 478-237-8848 before August 21.
