Eddie Coleman, 76

   Funeral services for Eddie Coleman, 76, of Canoochee were held Tuesday, August 7, 2018, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with Reverend Louis Pearce officiating. Interment followed at Eastbrook Cemetery & Mausoleum. He went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 4, 2018, at his residence following an extended illness.
   Mr. Eddie Coleman was born August 16, 1941, in Swainsboro to the late Wiley A. Coleman, Sr. and Estelle Allmond Canady. He was a 1959 graduate of Emanuel County Institute and was a member of the FFA for four years, two of which he served as chapter president. He married Helen Coleman, the love of his life, and went on to build a loving family. Coleman served in the National Guard and was retired from Triangle Chemical after many years. He loved spending time with his family, working on his farm, his dogs, his cows, and his rocking chair. Coleman was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tim Coleman
; daughter, Angela Ann Coleman; stepfathers, Ruben Willis and Walter Canady; and brother, Wiley A. Coleman Jr.
   Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Helen Coleman of Canoochee; daughters, Melissa “Missy” Oglesby and Jenny (Robbie) Baker, both of Canoochee; brother, Emmit (Annette) Coleman of Harlem; sister, Ann Riner of Grovetown; extended family, Sonny & Lynn Harrell and Judy White, all of Canoochee; grandchildren, Amy (Shane) Estes, Erin (Kyle) Beach, Ricky Bustamante, Timothy Edward Coleman Jr., Justin Carter Coleman, Lucas (Hali) Smith, Haley Nicole Smith, Monte Robinson, and Matthew Ryan Smith; great-grandchildren, Sara Estes, Nathan Estes, Jonah Estes, Grace Beach, Carter Bustamante, Brayden Smith, Dixie Smith, and Addie Smith; and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
   Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
