A celebration of life services for Dr. Michael Lawrence Daniel, 55, will be held at Northside Baptist Church in Lexington, South Carolina, on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at noon. Family will receive friends one hour before the service.He died on Friday, August 24, 2018, in Swainsboro, after a battle with cancer. He fought a good fight, finished the race, remained faithful, and is receiving his crown of righteousness.
Dr. Michael Lawrence Daniel was born September 29, 1962 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He graduated from Brookland Cayce High School in Cayce, South Carolina. Dr. Daniel spent his life as a loved and well respected educator. He graduated from Francis Marion University with a BA in Economics and a MA in Divergent Learning, and received his Doctor of Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. Dr. Daniel taught at Florida Atlantic University, Francis Marion University, University of Southern Mississippi, and Georgia Southern University. He taught Public School in South Carolina, and in Georgia in Jenkins county, Bulloch county, and most recently at Swainsboro High School. He taught with academic skill, love, and a sense of humor. He was a member of the Swainsboro First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; his beloved children; his parents, William and Barbara Daniel; birth mother, Faye (Tony) Cicchetti; sister, Jennifer (David) Arnold; and his nieces.
