Deophia Johnson Brown, 69

   Funeral services for Deophia Johnson Brown, 69, of Morristown, Tennessee, formerly of Swainsboro, were held Monday, August 27, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at Dominion Life Worship Center with Overseer Shirley Kyle officiating. She died Saturday, August 18, 2018 at her residence.

   Being the second of six children, Mrs. Deophia Johnson Brown was born on March 12, 1949 in Swainsboro to the late L.A. Johnson and Lucile Jones. She dedicated her life to her children, especially for the sacrificial care of her son, Alfred. Brown had a passion for cooking and helping others. She enjoyed fishing and was a woman of faith, and truly loved her grandchildren. Brown was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Alfred and Geraldine Johnson.

   Survivors include her sons, Willie, Colen, and Alfred; sisters, Ollie and Helen; brothers, Alfred and Marvin “Snake” Johnson; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

   Unity Mortuary of Knoxville, Tennessee, was in charge of arrangements.
