Funeral services for David Lee Coleman, 52, of Swainsboro will be Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Mount Shady Baptist Church with Rev. Rusty Moore officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. He died August 10, 2018 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Mr. David Lee Coleman was born April 6, 1966, in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, to the late Arthur “Hobby” Coleman and Jennett Coleman Russell. He was a 1985 graduate of Emanuel County Institute and received his degree in electronics in 1987 from Swainsboro Technical College. He retired from Parker Aerospace Control Systems, and he was owner/operator of Coleman Lawn Care and Pirate Parrots Grassing Company. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, traveling, working, and spending time in the Caribbean. Most precious to him was spending time with his family. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Roy Russell Sr.
Survivors include the love of his life, Leslie Morris of Claxton; his mother, Jennett Coleman Russell of Twin City; one sister, Debra (Billy) Rich of Twin City; two sons, Cagney Hearn and Andrew Rushing both of Claxton; niece and nephews, Hana Rich (Vince) Alfonso, Chris Cumbee, and Adam (Robyn) Cumbee; great-niece and great-nephews, Aaden Cumbee, Raylon Cumbee, Hanley Moorman, and Finley Kayte Alfonso; and one stepbrother, Roy Russell Jr.
