Commissioners hold monthly meeting

The Emanuel County Board of Commissioners held its monthly meeting on Monday, August 20, at 6 p.m. Chairman Keith Thompson called the meeting to order and requested of prayer for the family of Desse Davis during the grievance of Davis’ wife, Nellie. Davis was absent, revoking his motions for the meeting.
County Administrator Guy Singletary presented to the board a radio communication tower lease agreement. Hugh Foskey motioned to accept the submitted lease with DNR to rent space on the county’s tower in the Modoc area. Matt Blackburn seconded and all voted in favor.
A resolution regarding a new continuing agreement with the Airport loan with Citizens Bank was presented by Singletary to board members. Rusty Lane motioned for approval, followed by Foskey seconding, and all voting unanimously.
Lane motioned to approve two resolutions for the new legislation passed by the State for 911. Blackburn seconded and all voted in favor.
