On Saturday, June 9, 16 members of the Swainsboro High School Class of 1969, along with spouses and friends, gathered at Sweet Tea Grille at The Mill to reminisce and begin planning the class’ 50th reunion over dinner.

Fellow classmates from out-of-state included Mary Frances Allen of Miami, Florida, and Eddie Arnold of Yadkinville, North Carolina. Though others in attendance were present for previously held meetings, Arnold marked his first at the most recent dinner. The Class of 1969 has enjoyed reunions together, marked every five years, and recently decided to meet more often for informal dinner meetings for planning purposes. They will now meet on the second Saturday in June for the upcoming years. The next reunion is slated for June 8, 2019, at Jerry Cadle’s Clubhouse.
