Chamber of commerce, development authority slates annual golf tournament

   On Friday, September 21, the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Chamber of Commerce and the Joint Development Authority (JDA) will host its 26th Annual Industry Appreciation Golf Classic at the Swainsboro Golf and County Club. Golfers will receive one lunch ticket for this event, and sponsors will receive two. Lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. The tournament will be a 4-man scramble.

   Team entry fees are set at $250 and will increase to $300 for registrations received after September 7. One industry team will receive free play, courtesy of the JDA. Any second team of the same industry will play at half price. Ticket packages are $40 per player and will include two mulligans, one red tees, one 50/50 ticket, one hit-the-green ticket, and two raffle tickets. As with registration fees, tickets will increase to $50 if purchased on the day of event.

   Sponsorship levels are as follows:

   Hole Sponsor — $100

   Longest Drive Challenge — $150

   Closet to the Pin Challenge — $150

   Hit the Boat Challenge — $150

   Hit the Green Challenge — $150

   Beverage Cart — $200

   Lunch Sponsor — $800

   Registration and sponsor due dates are slated for Friday, September 7. Checks may be payable to the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Chamber of Commerce.
