Bulldogs close out pre-season scrimmages

   The ECI Bulldogs played their second and final scrimmage game Friday, hosting Telfair County from McRae.

   The format was the varsity teams playing the first three quarters, with the JV teams closing out the game in the fourth.

   ECI defeated the Trojans 27-13 the first 36 minutes, and the JV won their quarter 8-6 to close out the pre-season games.

   After the Bulldog defense forced a 3-and-out to begin the game, the offense took over at their own 43.
   They drove to the 8-yard line, but a fumble inside the 10 ended the scoring threat.

   The Trojans were unable to get their next drive started and punted the ball back to ECI inside their own territory.

   The Bulldogs put the first points in the game behind a seasoned line with the running of seniors Rejar Rock and Eric Dixon.
