Funeral services for Bobbie Ann Way-Cannady, 57, were held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Mosley’s Funeral Home with Pastor Mildred Phillips serving as eulogist. Interment followed in Swainsboro City Cemetery. She died August 11, 2018.
Mrs. Bobbie Ann Way-Cannady, affectionally known as “Poochie” and “Big Baby,” was born on March 1, 1961 in Swainsboro, the seventh child born to the late Robert Way and the late Mattie Brown-Way. She attended school in Swainsboro and was a member of St. Lukes Missionary Baptist Church in Daisy, where Reverend Anderson was pastor. Way-Cannady was a homemaker who loved to cook and fish. She married Robert L. Cannady in 1996.
Survivors include one son, Stephen Lamont Way of Statesboro; sister, Diathy King of Pembroke; three brothers, Buddy Brown of Augusta, Willie Way of Pembroke, and Robert Way of Columbia, South Carolina; uncle, Leroy Brown; two nephews; five nieces; three grand-nieces; and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
