Allen speaks to Kiwanis

   The Kiwanis Club of Swainsboro held its weekly meeting, Tuesday, July 24, at 7 p.m. at Catered Creations. With President Jim Clapham presiding, there were 21 members in attendance and no guests. 

   The program for the evening was hosted by Tim Goodman, who introduced Kiwanian Tammy Allen, director of Emanuel County Family Connections. Allen presented an update on the Summer Literacy Mini-Grant Connections awarded for summer. The mini-grant was awarded by the Sandra Danagan Deal Center for early language and literacy. The grant focused on giving access to books to children in the local community.
