Swainsboro High School FBLA hosts Georgia SLOTS

   For the 15th year, Swainsboro High School (SHS) Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) had the opportunity to host one of four Georgia FBLA Summer Leadership and Officer Training Summits on July 11. More than 200 members, advisers, and trainers convened at SHS for a full day of leadership training, team building, and chapter planning. The special guest trainer this year included newly elected FBLA National President Eu Ro Wang from Massachusetts.

   The Swainsboro High School local chapter leaders had the opportunity to network and share success stories with other leaders from across the region. Time was also spent in training sessions specific to each local chapter officer’s position. While in sessions, officers were trained to carry out their official duties and began to understand the responsibilities of being a chapter leader. Members also worked together to develop a program of work for the 2018-2019 school year that includes a variety of activities for its members, including community service, leadership and team-building, and competitive events. The day of training also includes many team-building exercises designed to problem solve and improve communication among members and chapter leaders.
