Riner awarded bond in Wilson murder

On Monday, July 30, Priscilla Riner Hooks appeared in front of the honorable senior judge of the Augusta circuit, J. David Roper, in the Emanuel County Superior Court for a bond hearing associated with the death charges of Dustin Wilson, 31, who was shot at Hooks’ residence on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Wilson was later pronounced dead after being transferred to Emanuel County Medical Center for treatment.
Facing charges of malice murder, felony murder, involuntary manslaughter, aggravated assault, four counts possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and additional charges involved with insurance fraud, Hooks was represented by attorney Martha Kirkland Hall. Hooks was granted a bond of $65,000, being land, property, or combined. The bond was set at $65,000, ($55,000 related to the murder of Wilson and $10,000 for insurance fraud) being land property, monetary, or combined.
