November wedding planned for Miss Lanier, Mr. Turner

      Patti Lanier of Metter is pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Miss Marlee Lanier, to Chad Waylan Turner, son of Ronnie and Connie Turner of Canoochee. The bride-elect’s father is the late Barry Lanier.
   A 2007 graduate of David Emanuel Academy, Miss Lanier graduated in 2012 from Armstrong State University with a Bachelor of Science as a respiratory therapist. She will receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia Southern University this fall and will complete her education with a master’s in nursing in late 2019 as a family nurse practitioner. The future bride is currently employed with Memorial University Medical Center.
   Mr. Turner graduated from Emanuel County Institute in 2009. He received a degree in construction management with a minor in business from Appalachian State University, where he played football. He graduated in 2014 and is presently employed with Tony Reardon Construction of Savannah.
   The bride-elect’s grandparents are Faye Cardell, the late Leon Cardell, the late Mildred Lanier, the late J. Byron Lanier, and the late Dean Trapnell. The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Johnson of Garfield and Mr. and Mrs. Johnson Turner of Canoochee.
   The wedding is slated for November 17, 2018, at 5 p.m. at the couple’s Metter home. A reception will follow.
