Jack Lewis Waller Sr., 83

   Funeral services for Jack Lewis Waller Sr., 83, were held Monday, July 16, 2018, at Fleming Baptist Church in Augusta with Pastor Billy Adkins and Rev. Patrick Latta officiating. Interment followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

   Mr. Jack Lewis Waller Sr. was a longtime member of Fleming Baptist Church of Augusta. He served as a deacon, greeter, Sunday school teacher, was a former RA Leader, and served on many mission trips. Waller loved Fleming Baptist Church and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. He also enjoyed fishing. During the year Waller was at the Benton House, he became very closely attached to the staff of the Benton House, and the family is forever grateful for their care and compassion given to him. Waller was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 plus years, Lettie S. Waller, and  his parents, Jesse and Annelle Waller.

   Survivors include his children, Jack Waller Jr. and Faye (Buster) Davis; sisters, Beverly (William “Bubba”) Pardue, and Sandra (Danny) Greenway; grandchildren, Jackie (Bryce) Denson, Jesse S. Davis, and Stephanie (Jimmie) Nicole Clenny; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

   Honorary pallbearers were the deacons of Fleming Baptist Church.

   Elliott Sons Funeral Home of Augusta was in charge of arrangements.
