Carol McCullough Anderson, 69

   Funeral services for Carol McCullough Anderson, 69, of Sandersville were held Friday, July 13, 2018, at 2 p.m. inside the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with Reverend Danny Thomas officiating. She died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, in Johnson City, Tennessee, following a brief illness.
   Mrs. Mildred Carol McCullough Anderson was a native of Emanuel County, the daughter of the late Thomas Alvin McCullough and the late Mildred Abney McCullough. She lived in Washington County for many years and was a retired bookkeeper for the Washington County Board of Education at Elder Middle School. She was a member of Ridgeland Heights Baptist Church.

   Survivors include her husband, Gary Anderson of Sandersville; daughter, Windy Anderson; son, Shannon Anderson and his wife, Aimee, all of Jonesborough, Tennessee; grandchildren, Patrick Afflerback, Kason Anderson, Matthew Anderson, Lori Hernandez, Crystal Purvis and Gabriel Anderson; great-grandchildren, Gage Afflerback, Evan Anderson, Hazel Purvis and Violet Purvis; sister, Kay M. Johnson of Swainsboro; and nieces, Misty Chalker and Hope Fagler.
   The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Masonic Children’s Home, care of The Grand Lodge of Georgia, 811 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31202-6779.
   May and Smith Funeral Directors of Sandersville was in charge of arrangements.
