Balloonist brings smiles to library

Children love balloons, and if they’re shaped like a dog or a flower, all the better! Scott Routsong, talented balloon artist and storyteller, formed those shapes and more as the closing act for the Children’s Summer Reading Program. He fashioned delightful objects that the youngsters got to take home. He also spoke about music and performed a mini jam session with willing participants. Also, here’s an interesting tidbit—Routsong’s artistry is his side gig. He didn’t quit his day job; he’s director of Brooks County Public Library.
