   According to Emanuel County Sheriff J. Tyson Stephens, on Thursday, July 19th, 2018 a specially called grand jury chose to indict Priscilla Riner (45) on multiple charges related to the June 26th shooting death of Dustin Chase Wilson (31) after hearing the sworn testimony of investigators from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the sheriff’s office.

10U all-star baseball team plays in state tournament

   Twin City’s 10-and-under (10U) all-star baseball team recently competed in the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association’s state tournament. They played four games, losing their opener to Glynn County 12-4. The boys rebounded well, defeating Lyons 10-3 and Dalton 16-0. However, they were eliminated by Moultrie 7-4. Still, their 2–2 record allowed them to take a fifth place finish overall.

Kemp visits Boneyard BBQ

   On Friday, July 13, Brian Kemp, Republican governor candidate from Athens, stopped by Boneyard BBQ in Soperton to grab a barbecue sandwich on his 50-county, 37-city bus tour.
