Toby Gay Johnson, 64

   Funeral services for Toby Gay Johnson, 64, of Garfield will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Canoochee Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. John David Durden officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Hebron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. He died Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Candler County Hospital in Metter.

   Mr. Toby Gay Johnson was born November 16, 1953, in Millen, Jenkins County, to the late Taylor and Myra Gay Johnson. He was a retired supervisor with Norfolk Southern Railroad and of the Baptist faith. Johnson loved fishing at Shellman’s Bluff and his dogs, and he was devoted to his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katie Johnson, and sister, Frances Oxford.

   Survivors include three daughters, Regina (Dewayne) Tabor, Christie (Mace) Henry, and Caitlin (Kevin) Taylor, all of Garfield; one sister, Deloach Martin; and seven grandchildren, Emilee Tabor, Eli Tabor, Hagan Henry, Hudson Henry, Hadleigh Kate Henry, and Trinity Taylor.

   Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
