Recently, children attending Adrian Baptist Church’s Vacation Bible School took a stroll through the Bible to learn about Jesus, “The Redeemer.”

Entering a dark classroom, they first experienced how wonderful it was when God declared, “Let there be light.” They then traveled to Bethlehem, where they discovered baby Jesus lying in a stable amongst farm animals. The children also learned about many healing and miracles performed by Jesus during his short life on earth. They then went on to discover how the Son of God was crucified and finally resurrected three days later.

In a craft session, each child created a sparkling cross to take home. They also learned two new songs, which they performed during Sunday’s morning service.

Children attending were Brylie Morton, Lydia Kate Garnto, Bryston Claxton, Makalyn Claxton, Marley Stewart, Haley McKenzie, Miley Corley, Kaleigh Horton, Call Morris, Jullian Guerra, Aiden Guerra, Kaden Johnson, Layland Todd, Rebecca Quinn, Callie McLendon, McKenna Cunningham, and Weston Johnson.

Bible school directors were Laura Morris and Barbara Brantley. Brantley awarded Best Decorated Door to Michelle Hall and gave a special recognition to the many teachers and volunteers for the program.
