SHS holds Honors Night for underclassmen

   The 2018 Honors Night for grades 9-11 was held on Tuesday evening, May 15, in the auditorium of Swainsboro High School. Many students who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in academics were recognized. 

   Membership in the ACT/SAT Achievers Club is limited to those students who score who have scored at least a 480 on the reading and writing section of the SAT and at least a 530 or higher on the math section of the SAT or an ACT composite score of at least 22 or higher. The Georgia Department of Education awards achievement points to high schools with students of these scores. The following students were recognized for being inducted into the Achievers Club: Jackson Barber, Gage Futrill, Esmeralda Hernandez, Davis Lamb, Jaden Murphy, and Jency Stevens.

   Clair Collins recognized Christian Daniels as the recipient of the JROTC Scholastic Award on behalf of the American Legion.
