On Sunday, April 15, four compatriots of the Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution traveled to Edgefield County, South Carolina, to participate in the 250th anniversary celebration of Horn’s Creek Baptist Church.

Don Bazemore of the Brier Creek Chapter, Steve Burke of the Wiregrass Chapter, and Don Thomas and Bill Colbert of the Col. William Few Chapter posted and retrieved the colors. After the inside ceremony, the assembled moved outside while Thomas, Bazemore, and Colbert fired a 3-round volley with their Pennsylvania flintlock long rifles and Burke fired a 3-round volley with his 6-pound naval cannon.
