Lillian Watson Schwalls, 90

   Funeral services for Lillian Watson Schwalls, 90, of Swainsboro will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at 11 a.m. in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jim Harrell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on hour prior to service. Interment will follow in the Old Canoochee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. She died Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Regency Hospital in Macon.

   Mrs. Lillian Watson Schwalls was born February 9, 1928, to the late Butler B. Sr. and Daisy Johnson Watson in Graymont, Emanuel County. She was a member of the Swainsboro First United Methodist Church and a bookkeeper at Citizens Bank of Swainsboro. In addition to her parents, Schwalls was preceded in death by her husband, Rountree Schwalls; daughter, Joy Schwalls Smith; and son, Charlie Butler Schwalls.

   Survivors include one granddaughter, Amber Albritton of Valdosta; one grandson, Kenneth (Jana) Schwalls Smith of Cordell; and one great-grandson, Rhett Smith of Cordell.

   Pallbearers will be Bill Simmons, Milton Gray, Athen Walden, Carnage Young, and Danny Holden. Honorary escorts will be officers and employees of Citizens Bank of Swainsboro.

   Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
