Kiwanis club hosts Scott beauty pageant

   The 2018 Ms. Scott Health and Rehab Beauty Pageant was held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 30. Sponsored by the Swainsboro Kiwanis Club, the pageant was held in the community room of Scott Nursing Home.

   The room was decorated with a floral arch and balloons hanging from the ceiling. The pageant began with Becky Browning leading in invocation and Jim Clapham, Kiwanis president, welcomed everyone. He then introduced Bobby Seamans, emcee for the pageant. Kiwanian Frank Patrick escorted the 2017 Queen, 83-year-old Marion Dixon, into the room. She observed the pageant from the floral arch. The parade of contestants were escorted by Swainsboro Kiwanians. As each of the 10 contestants were escorted in, the emcee introduced them and gave a brief biography. After all were introduced, contestants were asked questions and interviewed by Seamans.
