Bulldogs hold spring sports banquet

   The ECI Bulldogs held its spring sports recognition ceremony last Monday to honor students’ participation in sports during winter and spring.

   Sports represented were basketball, baseball, track and field, golf, and tennis.

   Golf coach Michael Williams presented letter certificates to his golf team. Members receiving certificates were Gavin Edenfield, Hunter Pitts, Bailey Sause, Denton Beasley, Zera Edenfield, and Zoe Durden.

   The team had one member who qualified for the state tournament held at Double Oaks Country Club in Commerce. Bailey Sause placed 10th out of 68 players competing.

   Coach Ali Clark gave out awards to his track and field team. Receiving plaques and recognized were Emma Mason, Girls Field Athlete of the Year; Kristen Smoyer, Girls Track Athlete of the Year; Deion Carter, Boys Track Athlete of the Year, and Greg Jordan, Boys Field Athlete of the Year.

   Receiving the track and field MVP was Raul Carrillo.
