Beta Sigma Phi Lady of the Year: Beverly Fulford Johnson

   Each year the Xi Delta Psi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi holds its annual Founder’s Day Celebration. This year’s Founder’s Day celebration was held at the Cross Clubhouse on April 16, 2018. This is the closing of the clubs year which spans from August through May. It is a very special time in that it is the occasion that the club announces its choice of The Beta Sigma Phi Lady of the Year. The selection of this woman is accomplished through a nomination and voting process. It is always a very difficult and challenging decision as there are so many women in this community who are deserving of this honor. Also at this special time, all former Ladies of the Year are asked to join the current members to celebrate this occasion that at one point in time honored them as Lady of the Year. This year, the chapter was joined by: Bobbie Daughtry (2009), Mary Kalmanson (2017), Harriett Ray (2011), and Mary Ann Smith (2015).

   The 2018 Lady of the Year was nominated by Nancy Lisenby, and the vote among all 32 members was unanimous. The Xi Delta Psi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi is very proud and honored to announce the 2017/2018 Beta Sigma Phi Lady of the Year, Beverly Fulford Johnson. Likely known by nearly everyone in this community, she is indeed one of a kind and a very special person.
