SAR chapters attend Georgia on My Mine Day

   Eleven members combined from the Brier Creek, Col. William Few, and Wiregrass Chapters traveled to the U.S. Hiway 301 Welcome Station in Screven County to participate in the annual Georgia on My Mine event.

   At the May 14 meeting of the Swainsboro Rotary Club, members of both Swainsboro High School FBLA and Emanuel County Institute FBLA presented programs. The two school clubs will be competing on the national level at its upcoming conference in Baltimore, Maryland in June.

Annual mother-son dance a great success

   The annual mother-son dance was a huge success this year. Sponsored by Swainsboro-Emanuel County Recreation Department, Emanuel Arts Council, and Growing Communication, Inc., the dance was held Friday, April 27, at Vann Community House.    The Kiwanis Club of Swainsboro held its weekly meeting Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at  7 p.m. at Catered Creations, with President Jim Clapham presiding. There were 20 members in attendance with no guests.

Kiwanians time 5K in Soperton

Six members of the Kiwanis Club of Swainsboro traveled 24 miles to Soperton to time a recent 5K.
