Swainsboro wraps up baseball season

   The Swainsboro Tigers (13-13) completed their baseball season last week, winning the season finale in Bleckley County to even their overall record. The Tigers failed to make the playoffs, though, finishing 4-10 in Region 2-AA in last place after losing their final five region games.

   The final week was a busy one for Swainsboro as they packed five games into four days, culminating with a doubleheader in Bleckley County.

   Swainsboro began the week at home on Tuesday with a devastating loss to Tombs County. The Tigers scored eight times in the second inning to give them a commanding 10-3 lead and took a 10-4 lead into the seventh inning.
