SES drama club performs The Wizard of Oz

   On Friday, March 23, the newly formed drama club of Swainsboro Elementary School (SES) performed a full-length play of The Wizard of Oz. The play was held at 6 p.m. on the school’s main stage in front of a large audience. This was the second performance of the drama; the first was held Tuesday, March 20, for students, faculty, and staff of the school.

   The drama club was created this year by Amy Lee Holton, who also directed this production. Assisting Holton in advising students were Antwanette Green, Karin Screws, Penny Rodgers, and Sandy Lane. The script for the play was provided by Plays for Large Casts (www.PlaysForLargeCasts.com).

   In total, 67 children had speaking roles…
