SECRD to enforce new policies in May

The Swainsboro-Emanuel County Recreation Board has enacted new policies for citizens wanting to have special events with 50 or more people attending at any of the parks managed by the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Parks and Recreation Department (SECRD).
Effective May 1, 2018, anyone who wishes to host a special event at a park will have to apply for a permit through the recreation department. Permits must be requested at least 10 days in advance of the event and must meet all requirements. The permits include a waiver/release of liability and an acknowledgement that the host has read Addendum I, Park Special Event Rules and Regulations. SECRD reserves the right to deny any request for a permit, should they deem the event to not be in accordance with written rules and regulations or inappropriate for the community in which the park is located.
