Memorial services for Patricia “Patsy” Hall Daniel, 72, were held Saturday, March 31, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Johnson Chapel Church in Treutlen County near Adrian with Reverend James Salter officiating. She passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Lutheran Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Patricia “Patsy” Hall Daniel was born in Treutlen County and was a 1963 graduate of Adrian High School. She was employed with the City of Dublin for a number of years. After leaving Dublin, she pursued a lifelong career in the government sector, which led her to Golden, Colorado, where she became the finance director for the City of Blackhawk, Colorado. She loved her home on Douglas Mountain, where she lived with her husband, Bill. Daniel was an integral part of the Douglas Mountain community. She was a member of the Golden Gate Auxiliary and was treasurer of the Board of the Golden Gate Fire Protection District. Her parents, Herbert and Doretha Hall, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husand, Bill Daniel; sisters, Lottie, Lynda, Dianne, Wanda (Noel), Janice (James), Kay (Raymond), Lash (Gerald), Beckie (Randall), and Tammi (Jon); brother, Eddie (Lea) Hall; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, who were all so fond of “Pat Pat.”
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Golden Gate Auxiliary of Colorado, Inc. (GGAC) P.O. Box 176223, Golden, CO 80402. The GGAC Board, a nonprofit organization that supports volunteer firefighters of the district, will create a fund to hold donations and discuss with Daniel’s husband the investments that will best honor her love for the department and the Douglas Mountain community.
Higgs Funeral Home of Soperton was in charge of arrangements.
