Bulldogs’ winning streak continues

   The Bulldogs are currently on a 7-game win streak, picking up a couple victories last week against Montgomery County and Metter.
   During the streak, ECI has outscored their opponents 71-14, eight of which came in the game against Metter last week.
   They haven’t lost since an 8-1 defeat by Savannah Christian. They will face the Raiders in a best-of-three series this week for the region championship.
   The Bulldogs lost a lot of offensive firepower last year and would start the year with freshmen and sophomores in the starting lineup. Going into the year, in order to be successful, the Bulldogs were going to have to rely on pitching and manufacturing runs. They have surprised by averaging 6.5 runs during the 21 games played.
   “They are playing together as a team and each other, basically doing whatever you need to do to help the team succeed,” commented coach Brooks Collins.  “That is something we put an emphasis on this year.”
