Bulldogs jump to No. 5 in power rankings

   The ECI Bulldogs swept the three games played last week and moved up to No. 5 in Class A power rankings and No. 2 in the region.
   Tuesday, they defeated the 15-1 Calvary Cavaliers in Savannah, shutting out the Cavs 3-0.
   Wednesday, the Bulldogs hosted Vidalia in a non-region game, defeating the Indians 3-0 for the pitching staff’s second consecutive shutout.
   Thursday, they traveled to Darien to face McIntosh County, leaving the coast with a 12-1 win in six innings.
   Tyler Flakes got the win against Calvary, limiting the one-loss Cavaliers to just three hits, striking out seven.
   The defense also stepped up with Evan Durden tracking down a long ball to right field that saved possibly three runs with the bases loaded.
