Brilling speaks to Kiwanis

   The Kiwanis Club of Swainsboro held its weekly meeting, Tuesday, April 17, at Catered Creations at 7 p.m..  With President Jim Clapham presiding, there were 20 members in attendance and two guests, Governor-Elect Debbie Brilling and Past Lt. Governor Byron Mullican. 

   Chair Tim Goodman reminded the club about the next run is on April 21 in Soperton at 9 a.m.

   President Clapham gave a special thanks to Chip Durden and Jane Durden for completing the interclub challenge by attending the Brooket Kiwanis Club meeting on April 10. He also reminded members of the upcoming Scott Nursing Home beauty contest slated for April 30 at 6:30 p.m., as well as the need for assistance with the hot dog sale at the opening of the dog park on April 21. 

   Chair Frank Patrick reminded members of the Pre-K Fun Day project slated for April 27 and the preliminary cotton-candy making on April 26.  Also, President Clapham, Gary Couse, Tim Goodman, and Cheryl Goodman will represent the club at the Governor’s Rally on April 20 in Statesboro.
