Allan Arthur Malone, 45

   Funeral services for Allan Arthur Malone, 45, of Treutlen County were held Sunday, April 15, 2018, at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Swainsboro with Rev. Uncles officiating. A private interment followed. He died Monday, April 9, 2018, at Meadows Regional Hospital in Vidalia.

   Mr. Allan Arthur Malone was born in Jesup, Wayne County, on October 21, 1972. He graduated from Swainsboro High School and Georgia College and State University. He loved golf and was an avid UGA Bulldog fan. Malone was an agent with the Tri-Circuit Drug Task Force, an officer of the Swainsboro Police Force, an investigator for The Sunshine House, and the Middle Circuit’s district attorney’s office, a special agent in the U.S. Secret Service, having protected former president Jimmy Carter, an outfitter for Flat Creek Lodge, and was currently serving as an officer in the Georgia Department of Community Supervision. He was preceded in death by his father, Rick Malone, and grandparents, Dr. Carter (Josephine) Meadows, Denise Auld Shepherd, and Art and Mary Malone.

   Survivors include his fiancee, Debbie Peebles Rushing of Treutlen County; one daughter, Ansley Alexis Malone of Statesboro; mother, Diana Meadows Malone of Treutlen County; brother, Andrew Carter (Jennifer) Malone of Collins; four nieces; and several aunts, uncles, and extended family.

   In lieu of memorials, contributions may be made to The Sunshine House Child Advocacy Center, 328 West Main St., Swainsboro, GA, 30401, or the the Swainsboro Animal Shelter, 343 Market Street, Swainsboro, GA, 30401.

   Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
