Funeral servies for Pauline B. Hutcheson, 64, of Soperton were held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Miller officiating. She died Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Community Hospice in Vidalia. She was laid to rest beside her husband in Hutcheson Cemetery.
Mrs. Pauline B. Hutcheson was born the only daughter of four children to the late Lonnie Watson and Sallie Lou McKenzie Wommack. She grew up in Swaisnboro and was a 1971 graduate of Swainsboro High School. She married Russell Hutcheson in 1979 and moved to Soperton in the early 1980s. Hutcheson worked at Oxford Manufacturing for a number of years as a training supervisor. She attended Swainsboro Tech, where she graduated in December of 1997. Following graduation, Hutcheson remained on staff at the school until joining the State of Georgia Department of Family and Children Services in June of 2002. She worked with DEFACS as a case manager, until retiring in December of 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Carl Wommack and Ronnie Wommack; and by her husband in September of 2016.
Survivors include her children, Will (Leigh) Hutcheson, Eric (Janice) Hutcheson of Celina, OH, Joe (Crystal) Hutcheson of Soperton, and Christy Morrison of Soperton; one brother, Tommy (Jane) Wommack; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a very special sister in law, Janet Hutcheson of Soperton; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were grandsons and nephews, Timothy Trull, Eric Hutcheson, Jonathan Hutcheson, Jacob Hutcheson, Andrew Hutcheson, Ron Wommack, and John Wommack.
Sammons Funeral Home of Soperton was in charge of arrangements.
