Bulldog baseball season underway

   The ECI Bulldog baseball team took the field a few days ago to start a new era at Joe Harvey Field.
   Long-time baseball coach Chad Harper turned over the reigns of the team to assistant coach Brooks Collins after 17 successful years as head coach. Harper will remain with the team as assistant coach.
   The Bulldogs are a young team this year with only two seniors, Peyton Mercer and Tiernan Johnson.
   Before getting into region play, the Bulldogs played larger class teams beginning with Tattnall County, Vidalia, Burke County, and Southeast Bulloch.
   ECI traveled to Reidsville on the Feb. 15 for the first game of the season and defeated…
