   Graveside series for Barney Hayward Sr. 84, will be held at Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, with Reverend Phil Wilson officiating.

   Mr. Barney Hayward Sr. was born April 24, 1933 in Hazlehurst to the late Lester Hayward and Alice Creamer. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Hayward enjoyed fishing, gardening, and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Hilda Courson Hayward.

   Survivors include his son, Barney Hayward Jr. of Martinez; daughters, Debbie (Richard) Fountain and Glenda (Harold) Coleman; brother, Roy (Shirley) Hayward of Hazlehurst; companion, Ruth Johnson of Swainsboro; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

   In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516 Topeka, KS. 66675.

   Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro is in charge of arrangements.
