Ruth E. Fagler

Funeral services for Ruth E. Fagler of Swainsboro were held Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at 2 p.m. in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ray Jenkins officiating. Interment followed in the Swainsboro City Cemetery. She passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at Community Hospice House in Vidalia.
Mrs. Ruth E. Fagler was born in Swainsboro to the late C. Talmadge and Annie Moxley Peebles. She worked in the accounting profession most of her life and was self-employed. She also worked in the trucking business for 25 years, having her own business for 10 of those years. Fagler lived two years in North Carolina and approximately 35 years in Savannah before returning home. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, and working in her yards. She was a member of Oak Chapel Baptist Church in Kite, and in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph C. Peebles.
Survivors include her daughter, Jamie Parrish (Randy) of Swainsboro; two grandsons, Robert Dustin Morris and Thomas Cole Morris; and five great-grandchildren, Christa Morris, Journi Morris, Rayne Morris, Logan Fetterolfe, and Savannah Morris.
Pallbearers were Tim Garrett, Robert Hood, Woody Nasworthy¸ Jimmy Dean Peebles, Jeff Overstreet, and Sheriff Tyson Stephens. Honorary escorts were Johnny Price and Sonny Hudson.
Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
