Ruby Johnson, 87

   Funeral services for Ruby Johnson, 87, of Twin City were held Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at Hebron Primitive Baptist Church at 3 p.m. with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating. Interment followed in the Hebron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. She passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at her residence following an extended illness.

   Mrs. Ruby Johnson was born February 15, 1930, in Garfield to the late Napoleon Bennett and Ruby Dell Clifton Bennett. She was a lifelong resident of Emanuel County who enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, and fishing. Johnson attended Hebron Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Betty Jane Tomberlin, and Sidney Moore.

   Survivors include her husband of 68 years, James Johnson of Twin City; daughters, Jane (Charles) Woods of Twin City, Dell Miller of Swainsboro, Kathy (Eddie) Woods of Twin City, and Jennifer (Phillip) Lamb of Wadley; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

   Pallbearers were Kevin Edenfield, Gavin Edenfield, Eric Woods, Tyler Flakes, Mitch Flakes, and Chase Whitehead.

   Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
