EGSC’s nursing department urges everyone to ‘Go Red’ this Friday

East Georgia State College’s (EGSC) nursing department is urging all EGSC faculty, staff, and students to “Go Red for Women” on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, for National Wear Red Day, a project of the National Heart Association. Go Red Day is a push to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease.

EGSC’s theme this year is “Change Your Lifestyle.” The EGSC nursing department is challenging the EGSC family to make the choice to live a heart-healthy lifestyle. Their suggestions include eating healthy, getting more exercise, managing stress, losing weight, having your cholesterol level checked, stopping smoking, monitoring your blood pressure regularly, and taking your medications regularly.

Join EGSC’s nursing department in raising awareness for cardiovascular disease, and don’t forget to wear red on Friday!
