Willie “Ray” McArthur, 74

   Graveside services for Willie “Ray” McArthur, 74, resident of Wadley, were held Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the Wadley Cemetery with Reverend David Boggs officiating. He died Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at his residence.

   Mr. Willie “Ray” McArthur was born in Emanuel County, son of the late Ernest and Lou Ella Douglas McArthur. He lived in Wadley most of his life, and he was a salesman for 35 years. He retired from Fulghum Industries Security. McArthur was a member of Stonewall Lodge No. 98 in Louisville. He was of the Baptist faith, and he loved all his family, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three half-brothers, Pete Grant, Winfred Grant, and Douglas Grant.

   Survivors include his wife, Janice Meeks McArthur; two sons, Jamie McArthur and Travis (Angela) McArthur; two grandsons, Nash McArthur and Ridge McArthur; and two sisters, Imogene Bramlitt and Cheryl Wheeler.

   Smith Funeral Home of Wadley was in charge of arrangements.
