Willie Lee Dekle, 66

   Funeral services for Willie Lee Dekle, 66, of Summertown were held Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church in Canoochee with Elder D.G. Moseley presiding. He passed away at Emanuel Medical Center on December 31, 2017, following a brief illness.

   Mr. Willie Lee Dekle was born in April 8, 1951 in Swainsboro. He was employed at Badcock Home Furnishings for more than 32 years and later became self-employed. His company, Willie’s Carpet and Vinyl, was successful for many years until Dekle became disabled in July 2015. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jewel Dekle, and brother, Tommy Lee Dekle.

   Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Dekle of Summertown; one daughter, Melissa Dekle of Summertown; two sons, Willie Bernard Dekle of Summertown and Michael LaShwan Dekle of Statesboro; two brothers, John Ellison of Stillmore and Sonny Dekle of Twin City; two sisters, Gloria Dekle of Ft. Pierce, Fla., and Emma Haynes of Millen; five granddaughters; four grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

   Mosley Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
