DEA basketball: A weekly recap

   On Tuesday, Jan. 9, David Emanuel Academy (DEA) hosted the Patriots of Nathan Green Academy (NGA) for not just one but three well-played games.

   The middle school Eagles won 33–28. Scoring for the Eagles were Jesse Moore, 14 points; Racyn Faircloth, 13 points; and Banks Booth, 6 points.

   The varsity girls soared through the game, finishing off the Patriots 35–25. Scoring for the Lady Eagles were Carli Patterson with 20 points, Cameron Hadden with 9 points, Ansley Lumley with 4 points, and Jaycee Faircloth with 2 points.

   The varsity boys showed up and showed out as well, winning 57–48. Ashton Greene led the scoring, posting 18 points. Wes Overstreet added 18, Wade Murdock added 9, Dylan Hall and Ethan Wells both scored 7 points each, and Dustin Cavanah dropped in 3.

   Next, David Emanuel hosted Thomas Jefferson Academy at 4 p.m. on January 11.
